					<description>Having grown up reading Tolkien books, I have a certain fondness for the series. While I found the movies entertaining, I still prefer the books.

I read through the series (hobbit and silmarillion too) numerous times over the years. I still consider it one of the better fantasy epics.

I liked the movies too, but I don't know if I like them *because* of how much I liked the books, or if I liked them *in spite* of how much I liked the books..</description>
